I’m sorry I’ve been a little MIA this week. I blame my excitement for Salt Lake Comic Con starting TODAY!
This is Salt Lake Comic Con’s Third Year and has been growing like crazy each year. This will be my second time attending and I’m VERY excited. This con has had its fair share of growing pains (and then some), but I feel that each year they are trying to get things better and better.
This year I don’t think I’ll be doing any cosplay. It’s going to be a year of photo-ops for me and I don’t want to be in Cosplay for my pictures (I know. It’s a bit lame).
Though just because I won’t be dressing up, doesn’t mean I don’t want some pointers on what to do for Cosplay. Read More
My third run of the year was today’s Time Lord Run hosted by Geek’d Out Events and benefiting American Childhood Cancer Association. It’s my third 5k this year.
This whole week has been a blur of pumpkin bread and laundry. I can’t seem to keep up with either of them. I love making pumpkin bread around this time, but it’s exhausting.
Here is what I’m thrilled about this week!
September is surprisingly one of the busiest months I’ve had in a long time. Coming up I have my Time-Lord 5k (I need to think of a shirt design for that soon), Salt Lake Comic Con, a Gamer 5k (where I’ll be sporting my Lakitu Costume), in addition to all of my amazing TV shows returning. It’s crazy and exhausting but by the end of it, it’ll be so much fun!
Despite all the busyness, I’m still pretty excited about a couple things!
This week’s Thursday and Thrilled is brought to you by Period Dramas. Around this time of year (shortly after my birthday and right before fall really sets in), I get into this kick of watching copious amounts of literature inspired period dramas (or in some cases, webseries based on those pieces of literature). I’m not sure why, but the way they talk, the way they act just puts me in the most agreeable mood.
They’re always so romantic and sweet. I just can’t get enough of cuddling up with my cat (the husband won’t watch them without ensuring that I hear his “funny” commentary) and a cup of peppermint tea. So here are a few of my favorite period dramas* (and inspired by period drama) items this week!
*expect a lot of Jane Austen. #sorrynotsorry
Every year I make a list of all the shows that are returning and when. Well, this year it’s getting pretty extensive.
I’m always really excited for new shows to premiere and my favorite shows to return. This year it looks like some pretty awesome shows are going to be making their way to my screen. Read More
Every little while I get into a funk. I call it a funk because to me being in a funk is when you are aware of what is happening around you and how you’re reacting but you aren’t sure why you’re feeling that way. I’ve been slowly trying to work my way out of said funk to no avail. But still, I’m going to keep trying and hopefully I’ll pull up and out of it. Despite the funk, it’s Thursday and Thrilled time and I’m excited about a couple things.
This week had been a little crazy. After getting home from my much needed and disconnected (we only had Edge data… EDGE… do you remember what that was like?) vacation, I came home to crazy busyness at work and just utter exhaustion every day. Hence why there was no Flash Fic yesterday (I swear I tried but nothing was coming. I’m lucky this became as put together as it did). Alas, despite the insanity that is the week of Independance Day, I still have a few things that fit the Thursday and Thrilled criteria. Read More
I’m hoping to get a couple of blog posts planned for the next few days since the Husband and I are going on a small vacation and I’ll be unable to write more. But I’m so excited to get out of the city for a little while. Even if it is just up the canyon. That being said, this week’s Thursday and Thrilled will be a small edition.
I have been in a mega crafting mood lately. So I decide to finally sit down and finish a project I had been wanting to finish for a while now. After spending last weekend with my mom and aunt going on a shop hop to different quilting stores I finally found the right fabrics for what I was needing. It seemed like fate. I was finally able to work on my purse, inspired by the Supernatural Impala. Read More
