Thursday and Thrilled: Overly Enthusiastic

Thursday and Thrilled: Overly Enthusiastic

Anyone ever tell you you’re overly enthusiastic? I openly admit it. I often refer to myself as someone who is overly enthusiastic about a lot of thing all at once. While some could see that as a bad thing, I choose to see it as a good thing.

When I see/read/watch/experience something I like, I tend to like to repeat it. Over. And over. and over again. This is a list of things I am “overly enthusiastic” about this week: (chances are, it’ll change next week) Read More

Thursday and Thrilled: Back to Basics

Thursday and Thrilled: Back to Basics

It’s only the second Thursday of the year and I’m already behind in these! Siiiiiiiigh! The past few weeks have been a weird range of emotions, but as of this week I’ve been in a pretty awesome mood all week. Spending my days with my awesome company and my evenings watching shows with my husband that make us laugh so hard I feel like I had done a million crunches. Finally getting out of my weird holiday funk.

With all of that, this is what I’m thrilled about this week

Ear Worms: A Cappella Holiday Songs

I’m going to take a break from the 12 Days of Geekmas, and share with you one of my favorite holiday things. I’m a sucker for a cappella groups. I’m pretty sure I’ve talked a bit about this before. But as a choir girl all my life, there is something about a group of guys singing holiday songs completely a capella that just hits my heart in a way that I can’t really explain. Plus, I find men who sing SUPER attractive (my husband and I met in choir).

In this post are a few of my favorite a capella songs by some of my favorite a capella groups. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Read More

[Youtube] Muzzled the Musical

[Youtube] Muzzled the Musical

I like to pretend that I don’t spend as much time on Youtube as I really do, but it would be a lie. I don’t want to lie to you guys. So here’s the deal, I usually spend a lot of time on YouTube. Mostly watching webseries based on classic literature, or watching Hannah Hart get drunk and forget to read directions. Sometimes, when I’m surfing the tubes, I come across a webseries that just looks like so much fun I have to share. Muzzled the Musical is one of those things.

Thursday and Thrilled: First Comes Exhaustion, Then Comes Binge-Watching

Thursday and Thrilled: First Comes Exhaustion, Then Comes Binge-Watching

This week had been a little crazy. After getting home from my much needed and disconnected (we only had Edge data… EDGE… do you remember what that was like?) vacation, I came home to crazy busyness at work and just utter exhaustion every day. Hence why there was no Flash Fic yesterday (I swear I tried but nothing was coming. I’m lucky this became as put together as it did). Alas, despite the insanity that is the week of Independance Day, I still have a few things that fit the Thursday and Thrilled criteria. Read More

Ear Worms: Kelly Clarkson and Josh Groban sing “All I Ask of You”

I am a big fan of Broadway musicals. I’ve only seen a handful on a stage, but I’ve always enjoyed watching a story unfold with music. Phantom of the Opera is not my favorite musical. It’s beautiful and a classic, but ultimately not my favorite. However, one of my favorite songs from the musical is “All I Ask of You”.

Today, Entertainment Weekly posted this link to Kelly Clarkson and Josh Groban singing this song and it is so beautiful I want to cry.

Take a listen!

I’m impressed with how well their voices blend and especially with Kelly’s performance.

What is one of your favorite duets?
