[Be Kind, Rewind] Coyote Ugly

Have you ever had a movie that you remember adoring, then when you watch it again, you find yourself looking at the movie in a completely different light? Well I call this a “Be Kind; Rewind” kind of movie. I enjoy watching movies I haven’t watched in at least a year (usually more) and comparing what I remember of it, to what I thought about it immediately after watching.

With my birthday on Saturday I’ve been consciously not buying anything for myself. Of course without the distraction of new TV shows and movies, I keep skipping over to Etsy or ModCloth and falling into the black-hole that has now become my wishlist! Alas, I will hold strong until all the festivities are over.

These are the things that I have discovered this weekend and now I want to own! Read More

Thursday and Thrilled: First Comes Exhaustion, Then Comes Binge-Watching

This week had been a little crazy. After getting home from my much needed and disconnected (we only had Edge data… EDGE… do you remember what that was like?) vacation, I came home to crazy busyness at work and just utter exhaustion every day. Hence why there was no Flash Fic yesterday (I swear I tried but nothing was coming. I’m lucky this became as put together as it did). Alas, despite the insanity that is the week of Independance Day, I still have a few things that fit the Thursday and Thrilled criteria. Read More

Since You’ve Been Gone

By: Morgan Matson

It was Sloane who yanked Emily out of her shell and made life 100% interesting. But right before what should have been the most epic summer, Sloane just…disappears. All she leaves behind is a to-do list.

On it, thirteen Sloane-inspired tasks that Emily would normally never try. But what if they could bring her best friend back?

Apple picking at night? Okay, easy enough.

Dance until dawn? Sure. Why not?

Kiss a stranger? Um…

Emily now has this unexpected summer, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected), to check things off Sloane’s list. Who knows what she’ll find?

Go skinny-dipping? Wait…what? (from Goodreads)

Thursday and Thrilled: Fanmix Yourself!

I’m hoping to get a couple of blog posts planned for the next few days since the Husband and I are going on a small vacation and I’ll be unable to write more. But I’m so excited to get out of the city for a little while. Even if it is just up the canyon. That being said, this week’s Thursday and Thrilled will be a small edition.
