The past couple weeks have been a blur of running, fandoms, photo ops, and fast food. I have no one to blame but myself. This saturday marks the final event that I’ve had planned for the past few months and I can finally start to relax.
I’m pretty excited to start winding down in the fall and winter months, starting with these few things:
After meeting my geek queen last week I wasn’t sure if anything could top it. While Felicia remains my geek queen, Idina Menzel is my vocal idol. For my birthday my mom bought me tickets to go see her and tonight is the night! Idina is one of my favorite people to listen to and I’m ever so excited to see her in concert!
Every year at my work we host a winter health challenge. Last year during this challenge I lost 17lbs and became pretty active. Then my basement flooded in February and my laziness returned. I’m ready to get back in the habit of working out and eating right.
If you have any go to healthy recipes please share! I’m always looking for new things to try!
Quieting the Brain Noise
Along with the Health Challenge, I’m wanting to include a mental health challenge for myself. At SLCC last weekend Chris Evans talked about one of the ways he deals with his anxiety is to take time to “quiet the brain noise”. I thought this was a fantastic thing to bring up to a room full of people who can sometimes get stressed out just being in the crowd. He made some good points on meditation and exercising that brain muscle. That’s not something I do very often, but I’m really wanting to try.
I fell in love with these adorable pictures of sadness at SLCC. They really shouldn’t make me happy but they kind of do. Also, the names of them just make me giggle.
WeLoveFine: Silk Collection
If you didn’t know already, I’m in love with Marvel’s Silk. Cindy Moon is amazing and now WeLoveFine is releasing a whole line of Silk inspired stuff and I am in LOVE!
Tell me something exciting that has happened to you recently! or I’m always welcoming advice on being and staying healthy!!
