When asked what my favorite genre of television is, usually my first answer is Science Fiction. While my definition of Sci-Fi also includes shows that have a supernatural/historical/fantasy aspect, I believe that there is a Sci-Fi show for everyone.
The definition of Science Fiction is this (according to Google):
sci·ence fic·tion
noun
1. fiction based on imagined future scientific or technological advances and major social or environmental changes, frequently portraying space or time travel and life on other planets.
I believe that Science Fiction, when talking about television, can be explained as anything that stretches the imagination further than reality. Whether that includes shows about people with unusual abilities, shows about people who travel the galaxy, maybe even shows about people with unusual abilities that travel the galaxy.
All that being said, in the upcoming weeks I’m going to be posting my opinions on shows that you might not of thought about watching but I’m going to try to convince you to watch. I fully believe there is a Sci-Fi show for everyone.
Some of these shows that I suggest will include the following:
- Time Travel
- Historical Artifacts
- Unusual Abilities
- Space Travel
- Cowboys
- Robots
- Aliens
- Gods
- Dinosaurs
- Geniuses
- and much more.
Some of the shows I suggest, may have all of that in one series. The point I’m trying to make is that a lot of stigma can fall around science fiction shows that I want to try to get people away from. Maybe I’ll even open your eyes to a show that you may not have tried previously.
